Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“One year on from the return of Stormont the vacuous spin ‘New Decade, New Approach’, is without clothes.
“It’s still the same old dysfunctional failure. Nor will it ever be any different: Sinn Fein has never been in government to make Northern Ireland work – quite the reverse. Mandatory coalition – which ensures no government without Sinn Fein – will never bring stability, only discord to be exploited by those who see republican opportunity in every crisis.
“No Head of the Civil Service, no Budget Bill, no Programme for Government, no legislative programme, no unity of purpose ….. and so it goes on, as before.
“Even at the basic level of transparency, nothing has changed. The First Ministers and many of their colleagues won’t even answer Assembly Questions – 39 of my Questions to the First Ministers remain unanswered, in breach of Assembly rules, some dating back to last February. Stormont is without shame.
“This Stormont is a con on its people. Apart from jobs for the boys, it’s only claim to fame is failure!”
