Moore comments on IRA posters in Mid Ulster

Statement from Glenn Moore, TUV Mid Ulster representative:
“The erection of posters advertising “Tyrone Volunteer Day” is a clear attempt to intimidate the minority Unionist community who suffered repeated terrorist attack from these self-styled “volunteers”. The bloody reality of the IRA campaign is something we cannot allow to be sanitised. I would appeal to our Roman Catholic neighbours to reflect upon the impact on community relations when they vote for men and women who are nothing less than apologists for murder.
“There will be Unionists who will also find the comments of our local DUP MLA on the matter somewhat ironic. It is all well and good calling out the evil of these posters. On that there is no disagreement in the Unionist community. However, when as an MLA Mr Buchanan misused the support he had obtained from the Unionist people of Mid Ulster to elect Alex Maskey, a convicted IRA man, as speaker of the Assembly he lost a great deal of credibility in our community.

“It is time for all Unionists to unite in opposition to the Republican agenda and for their actions to match their words at all times.”
