Celebrations come early for Lisburn South TUV candidate with birth of baby boy

While many candidates across the country will be using the last few days of the campaign to pound the streets in search of a final few votes, Lisburn South TUV candidate Stewart McEvoy has good reason to take a step back from campaigning as he and his wife Thomasena welcomed the birth of Peter McEvoy at 15:33 on Saturday. Peter weighed in at a health 8lb 5 oz and both mother and Peter are doing well.

Stewart said:

“We are delighted to welcome Peter into the world and very thankful that both he and Mummy are doing so well.

“While this is our third child, it is the first time that nappies, bottles and baby wipes have battled for space in the house with election literature and posters!

“I would like to thank the many people who have expressed their best wishes since the birth and remembered us in prayer in recent days. Obviously, my priority must be my duties as a Dad at this time, but I am sure the good people of Lisburn South who I know well because I have lived there all my life will appreciate that my priority must be family at the moment”.
