Statement by TUV Mid Ulster Assembly candidate Hannah Loughrin:
“The Teebane bombing was one of the most infamous actions of the IRA. Even by their brutal standards the killing of men while they were returning from a day’s work stands out as particularly horrendous.
“This latest attack on the simple and dignified memorial to the atrocity underscores the reality that the mindset of those who planted the bomb is alive and well in Northern Ireland.
“The news will shock and sadden not just the families of those who lost their lives or were injured but victims of terror across Northern Ireland. This heartless action will cause many people pain.
“It will take a great deal more than paint to whitewash the deeds of the Provisionals.”
