Statement by TUV Alderman Stewart McDonald:
“Yesterday afternoon (Thursday) I spent around four hours cleaning the Ahoghill – Gracehill line. The pathway had been allowed to get into a dreadful state with large parts of it completely obscured due to overgrowth and soil.
“Of course this is not a usual part of the duties of a councillor but those who know me know that I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty when it comes to issues like this.
“I would like to thank Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for kindly sending brown bins down for me. They have also sent the
road sweeper out this morning to give the path way a final clean.”
