Statement by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Deputy Mayor, Cllr Timothy Gaston:
“I am incredibly proud of our borough, even more so considering the international success which we have now gained through the Communities In Bloom awards.
“The awards were held in Canada, where first of all Ahoghill received 5 blooms (maximum possible) and received special recognition for Positive Partnerships. Secondly, Glenarm not only matched the 5 blooms but won their overall category.
“What a success story this is – Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has been put on the map due to the positive community spirit which has propelled us to be award winners on the international stage.
“Well done.”
