Welcome for Coagh inquest decision and challenge to BBC report

Statement by TUV Mid Ulster spokesperson Glenn Moore:
“I welcome the decision that the killing of three IRA terrorists in Coagh in 1991 by the SAS was justified.
“Why the online BBC report on the finding leaves out key facts – such as the reality that the terrorists were in possession of weapons in the stolen car, one of which had been used in previous IRA murders, and that one of those killed in the ambush was on the run after escaping prison where he had been detained for terrorist offences – are questions which the BBC need to address.

“The actions of the SAS that day almost certainly saved innocent lives and prevented what would otherwise have been a serious terrorist attack.”
