Statement by TUV North Belfast candidate Ron McDowell:
“Having challenged the council about their failure to join the U.K. wide plan to light civic buildings in honour of Northern Ireland’s centenary I obviously welcome last night’s decision to illuminate City Hall tonight.
“This is a small but significant way in which an important milestone in the history of Northern Ireland can be marked and it is but right that the main civic building in our capital city is taking part albeit a day early.”
