Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“Whatever the orchestrated campaign, international or local, (mostly the usual suspects) for Unionism to surrender on the Protocol, that is not an option for any unionist who understands its Union-dismantling mechanics and purpose.
“Giving up the only real leverage we have – refusing to operate Stormont while the Protocol operates – would be utter folly and allow the end of the Union through the stepping stone of economic Irish unification.
“It is no surprise that the chief cheerleaders for the Protocol are IRA/Sinn Fein and their American support lobby, because the Protocol has achieved what the IRA failed to achieve – moving the border to the Irish Sea.”
