Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“The terror-fest in Derrylin was never intended by Sinn Fein to be anything other than a glorification of IRA terrorism and trampling on the graves of their innocent victims, and so it turned out to be.
“As the thoughts of democrats and freedom-lovers across the world are on the sacrifice and courage of the brave soldiers of the First World War, the thoughts and actions of Sinn Fein are on trying to make martyrs and soldiers out of cowardly sectarian terrorists who skulked around shooting their victims in the back. Theirs were not the exploits of war, but the lowlife depravity of border genocide, of which the cold-blooded murder of Thomas and Emily Bullock near Derrylin was but one callous example.
“How any Unionist continues to sustain in power those who gloatingly glorify such blood-drenched terrorism, is beyond my comprehension. Condemning Sinn Fein’s actions today, but carrying on propping them up in government tomorrow demonstrates a deficient political and moral stance which TUV repudiates.”
