TUV receive vacuous reply when pressing DUP Minister over commemoration of terrorism at Casement

Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:

“Today I got this legally vacuous reply from the Communities minister:

“Jim Allister MLA has asked
The Minister for Communities what steps he will take to ensure that the redeveloped Casement Park will not be used for (i) the commemoration of terrorism; and (ii) political purposes.

Answer
The GAA has signed a legally binding funding agreement that commits compliance with all obligations in relation to anti-discrimination and equality legislation. Additionally, the project must be operated in compliance with sections 75 and 76 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.”

“Sections 75 and 76 apply only to public authorities, so does not and will not apply to the GAA!

“How can a minister be so ill-advised?”
