TUV raise concerns about Platinum Jubilee goods not being sold in Northern Ireland

Statement by TUV Mid Ulster spokesman Glenn Moore:

“Over recent days TUV has received multiple complaints about Platinum Jubilee goods not being stocked in stores in Northern Ireland. It has been alleged that this is the case with Tesco, Home Bargain and Asda.

“TUV has written to the three companies to inquire if these reports are accurate, if so why the decision was made and by whom and further a breakdown of complaints received by your stores about stocking items related to the Royal Family which you have received in the past.

“I must say that if the reports prove to be accurate and it is as widespread as it appears to be I find it both astonishing and insulting to the majority of people in Northern Ireland who not only are not offended by items related to the Royal Family but positively want to take part in celebrating this momentous occasion in the history of our nation.”
