TUV Announces Bannside Council Candidates

“TUV is delighted to announce that Ald Stewart McDonald and Cllr Timothy Gaston will be joined on the TUV ticket in Bannside by Anna Henry, daughter of former DUP councillor in the area, Billy Henry.

Jim Allister said, “As the strongest unionist party in Bannside and with two  excellent councillors in Stewart McDonald and Timothy Gaston working relentlessly in the area for the past two terms, TUV sees Bannside as an area for growth. Thus I am delighted we are offering a third candidate from the new generation of unionist activists. As a young person and a woman Anna Henry will bring a new and exciting dimension to the TUV ticket as we go all out to return three councillors in Bannside.”

Anna Henry added, “For me it is not just the family tradition of local government service that I seek to build on but to join two of the hardest working councillors that exist across the Borough, Stewart and Timothy. Ald McDonald and Cllr Gaston have set the bar very high in terms of public service but I look forward to strengthening the party’s hand in the upcoming election. Of course, I want to be a strong voice for all, but particularly for young people who too often opt out of politics.”

Alderman McDonald and Cllr Gaston, who are poll-toppers in Bannside, added, “Having served the people of Bannside faithfully since 2014 we look forward to standing on our record and that of TUV and adding to our representation through seeing Anna elected as well. It can be done. Let’s do it! Vote TUV 1, 2, 3.”
