Speaking ahead of tonight’s edition of Panorama Jim Allister said:
“Once again the actions of the State during the Troubles look set to be put under the media spotlight tonight. Doubtless there will be the predictable calls for investigations and prosecutions by Republicans.
“Many of those same politicians continue to defend the IRA’s indiscriminate slaughter of people, many for no other reason than that they happened to be Protestant.
“There will be countless people across Northern Ireland who lost loved ones or suffered injury as a result of IRA violence who will today wonder why there is no investigation into collusion between those currently in the government of Northern Ireland and terrorists.
“Where, for example, is the investigation into Martin McGuinness who has boasted of his position as a commander in the Provisionals?”
