Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“The weekend outpourings of support for and celebrating of the massacre of hundreds of innocent civilians in Israel by Hamas by their fellow travellers in Sinn Fein should be a wake up call for all those, including government and even the UUP, falling over themselves to demand a return to Stormont with Sinn Fein at the wheel.
“What we saw in Israel was the the most depraved terrorism imaginable, with even women and girls the object for their wicked degradation and cruelty. Yet, the youth wing of Sinn Fein and prominent Sinn Fein personalities are lining up to endorse and exalt in Hamas’ butchery.
“She who claims entitlement to be First Minister – who herself notoriously endorses and celebrates IRA terrorism – has not had a word of condemnation to offer, nor any support for Israel’s right to defend itself. Is this who Doug Beattie really wants to sit under in government?
“IRA/Sinn Fein, the friend of Hamas, is not fit for government.”
