Sectarian Graffiti Threatens Protestants

Sectarian graffiti has appeared for a second time at the entrance to a new housing development in North Belfast. As houses were being allocated a couple of months ago sectarian graffiti appeared warning Protestants they would be burnt out if they moved into the new development. Irish Tricolours were also placed at the entrance.

Cllr Jolene Bunting said:

“I received a phone call on Tuesday evening from a worried constituent to inform me of the vandalism. She had been in contact with me only last week to help get her a home in the new shared housing development at Felden.

“The sectarian graffiti said  NO G’MOUNT ORANGE SCUM HERE referring to a nearby area which has a predominately Unionist population. These bully boy tactics deployed by sectarian thugs, who do not want a Protestant about the place, will not succeed. I have been in contact with the PSNI about this matter. It is imperative that every effort is made to bring those responsible to justice.”
