Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-
“Today’s flagrant displays of paramilitary trappings and the firing of shots at a Republican funeral was only possible because, once again, such events are effectively treated as ‘no go’ areas when it comes to policing.
“Such abdication of control to paramilitaries is what leads to the shameful spectacles such as was witnessed on the streets of Belfast again.
“Meanwhile the PSNI busies itself pursuing loyalists whom they claim participated in anti-Protocol parades!”
