Commenting on the decision to cancel a thanksgiving service for the Ulster Covenant in light of a Parades Commission determination TUV Court councillor Jolene Bunting said:
“I and many others are deeply disappointed that the decision of the Parades Commission has resulted in the cancellation of a religious service. It is ironic that the conduct of the Parades Commission has highlighted that the Order cannot practice the values which it was founded to celebrate – civil and religious liberty – in today’s Northern Ireland.
“It seems the Commission is intent on aiding Republicans in their campaign against the Unionist community.
“It is a discredited body which has never had the support of the Unionist community and has illustrated yet again why it will never be regarded as a neutral arbiter when it comes to parading.”
