Statement by TUV party secretary and North Belfast candidate Ron McDowell:
“Suggestions in this morning’s News Letter that the DUP will not follow through on forcing the Government to choose between Stormont and Protocol sends entirely the wrong message.
“It is incumbent on the party to make it clear that they are serious and that Stormont will indeed come down unless the Sea Border is removed. Let’s not forget that it is a DUP Minister who is responsible for manning and implementing the border partitioning the UK.
“This is entirely the wrong time to show weakness. Unionism needs to be united in its robust opposition to the Sea Border”.
