Mid Ulster Council need to wise up when it comes to Irish signage

Commenting on the removal of Irish signage in Tobermore TUV Moyola candidate Glenn Moore said:

“The removal of Irish signage at Mill Park Tobermore is entirely predictable. When it was put up, I pointed out that it was neither needed nor wanted and would only serve to increase community tensions.

“The people of the village don’t speak Irish and have no desire to learn a language which has been weaponised by the Republican movement for decades.

“Mid Ulster Council frankly needs to wise up and spend ratepayers’ money on the priority of local people rather than squandering it in a fashion which only alienates local people.”
