Statement by Alderman Stewart McDonald:
“People across the Borough are aware of the amazing work of the Steven Lowry Memorial Trust, who are seeking to place defibrillators in community centres where they one day may save a life.
“I am humbled to have been able to play a small part in putting the Dr John McKelvey Cullybackey Community Centre in touch with the Lowry family who run the Trust in memory of Steven, and that they have donated a defibrillator to them.
“The legacy of Steven Lowry’s death is that others will have access to these life-saving machines – the Lowry family do us all proud.”
