Statement by Cllr Stewart McDonald, TUV Bannside:
“I attended a productive meeting with Council officials along with Brian Montgomery from the Ballymena Saturday Morning League to discuss council provision, maintenance and future plans for football in the area.
“I have been involved with Saturday Morning football for many years and know only too well what is required to not only keep the numbers involved currently, but to encourage more to take part in the future.
“It is clear that there is a demand for a Junior Stadium, along with keeping current provision up to a high standard. I will be making sure the council meet my expectations.”
