Statement by Alderman Stewart McDonald, Bannside TUV:
“As a resident of the Ahoghill for 33 years I am incredibly proud of the effort that has gone into preparing our village for the Communities in Bloom competition. I am immensely proud to have been involved and it is a pleasure to serve my community.
“This could not have been done without many people and organisations who all came together. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council through the Parks Department have been excellent; the volunteers who worked around the clock; and most importantly the wider community for their contribution in cutting their hedges and keeping the place tidy.
“Ahoghill can be proud.”
