Statement by Cllr Stewart McDonald, TUV Bannside:
“I have received a worrying report from the parents of two young children, where a man driving a silver Volkswagen attempted to gain entry into a locked car where these two children were waiting on their mother who was in a nearby chemist in Ahoghill.
“Evidently the parents are shocked, and want to warn other families of what happened.
“As my colleague Cllr Timothy Gaston stated yesterday about the attempts in Cullybackey and Ballymena, I would reiterate his call for all people to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the PSNI.”
