McAuley hails Charlotte Street progress

Statement by TUV Ballymoney councillor Jonathan McAuley:

“After years of lobbying on the issue, I am delighted to learn that Charlotte Street in Ballymoney is to be resurfaced and the kerbs and footpaths relayed.

“The potholes alone are brutal along this street and it is unacceptable that it has been permitted to reach this atrocious point. With the businesses in the town winning a major award just this week it is, frankly, long past time that the agencies of government upped their game to deliver the basic services which the town requires.

“I am delighted that this work will, at long last, be delivered. It will take place after the public realm scheme work in the town centre is completed, either just before Christmas or early in 2025. This will constitute a much needed step in the right direction. Ratepayers can rest assured that TUV will be keeping the pressure on until this work is finished.”
