Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“The constitutional position of Northern Ireland was not undermined in any way by the protocol.’ So says the Prime Minister of a country that long has aspired to absorbing Northern Ireland and who, naturally, sees the Protocol as an aid in that process.
“People of Northern Ireland will be the judge of our constitutional position, not you, Mr Martin. You might hope we are stupid or subject to browbeating, but we know what it means when the Court of Appeal rules the Protocol has ‘subjugated’ Art 6 of the Acts of Union. Unionists are not as stupid as you would wish. We know what a border in the Irish Sea means, both economically and constitutionally.
“So, interloper, try your blarney somewhere else.”
