Statement by TUV Braid Councillor Christopher Jamieson:
“I would encourage local community and volunteer groups to apply to the Cultural Celebrations Grant Scheme which is currently open. Groups can apply for grants of up to £1000 and if working in partnership with two other groups can apply for up to £3000. The scheme is specifically designed to encourage or facilitate the expression of cultural identity at the time of the traditional July/August events and is open to the whole community, including the Loyal Orders and bands sector.
“The funding is designed to support single day events to express cultural identity with applications opening on Tuesday past and closing at 4pm on Friday 16th June. Events must take place between the 9th and 13th July and 13th and 17th August 2023.
