Statement by TUV Court Councillor Jolene Bunting:
“On Friday night in the Skegoneill area of North Belfast youth from both sides of the community met for a prearranged fight.
“These prearranged fights happen regularly in the area. However, on Friday night it was more serious than on previous occasions as residents, their homes and cars were attacked by Republican youths.
“This comes just day after a sectarian petrol bomb attack on a house in the area. I would ask young people to stay away from recreational rioting and to think of the people who live in the area and encourage parents to discourage their children from engaging in these activities.”
