Hagan to contest Cookstown for TUV

The TUV have announced that Timothy Hagan will stand for the party in Cookstown.

Mr Hagan is a mechanic and a founding member and current bandmaster of the New Pride of the Village flute band, Coagh. Passionate about our musical heritage, Timothy is a member of Coagh Drumming Club and Cookstown Fife and Drum Club. Timothy is also a member of Drumcovis LOL 794.

Mr Hagan is a keen angler and a committee member of Coagh and District Fishing Club.

Commenting about his decision to stand Mr Hagan said:

“I am very passionate about the lack and the need of social housing and I am committed to give the minority loyalist people in our republican dominated council a strong unionist voice. A voice that campaigns for our traditions and culture not just to be accepted but celebrated throughout Mid Ulster Council area.

“Being a member of the TUV, I am totally opposed to the Windsor framework regardless of how the government have dressed it up. The Protocol needs to be removed completely, Northern Ireland is entitled under the Act of Union to be treated the same as the rest of the United Kingdom and we deserve to be able trade freely with the rest of our country.”
