Statement by TUV Deputy Mayor, Cllr Timothy Gaston:
“The Ballymena Health Centre has always been a busy location, and even more so when the new facilities open up to the public.
“Many elderly health centre users approached me to complain that there is no bus shelter at the site, and this is often leaving them exposed in harsh weather conditions while they wait on their bus home.
“I believed this to be a pressing issue as Winter approached and as such we have now secured through Mid and East Antrim Borough Council a bus shelter for the Health Centre.
“This will be erected on Friday 23rd October and will provide a much needed respite from the elements for those using the bus service.”
