Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:
“While other regions of the UK have been give hope and dates, Northern Ireland has got a cliché ridden algorithm for dither.
“Some have claimed this is a sat nav for the way ahead. In truth, it’s not much of a sat nav that can’t tell you your route or when you’ll get there.
“High sounding clichés about being “data driven” will of course provide cover for Executive indecision and disagreement, but it does little to answer the public’s questions. When can our kids get back to school – permanently, not on a hokey cokey basis? When can our businesses reopen? When can children play sport again? When can families return to their caravans? These are real issues, none of which are answered today. Everything has been left on the maybe and it isn’t good enough.”
