Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“Interviews such as Simon Coveney gave this morning on Good Morning Ulster – though it was more a facilitated monologue than an interview – demonstrate he and the Republic care nothing for the people of Northern Ireland and the trashing of our east/west relationships. Indeed, he barely disguised his triumphalism. In a sense well might he, because the Protocol delivers so hugely on his republican goal of edging us out of the Union.
“Faced with such bombastic belligerence, it now falls to the DUP to bring home to the Republic that north/southery will pay the price for such unyielding imposition of the Protocol.”
