“I welcome the fact that today’s North South Ministerial Council on agriculture meeting did not go ahead after Minister Poots did not attend.
“Our East/West relations have been trashed by the Protocol. North/South links cannot be maintained as normal so long as this is the case.
“Today’s action will, however, only have an impact if it is part of a sustained boycott by Unionists of the North/South architecture of the Belfast Agreement in parallel with other actions, like the withdrawal of departmental staff manning the Sea Border. Missing one meeting of the NSMC while attending the next will never be taken seriously. This must be part of a sustained campaign to remove the Protocol.”
