Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“After tonight’s BBC Newsline programme it is clear the BBC’s anti-Brexit bias knows no bounds.
“The depths of anti-Brexit spin was plumbed in Tara Mills’ report which conflated a past security border, necessitated by terrorism, with a Brexit border.
“Moreover, though it devoted its whole programme to a diatribe against Brexit never once did they explain that a Brexit border would be at the behest of the EU’s Lisbon Treaty, with such a border required to be policed by the frontier state, the Republic of Ireland. Have none of their experts ever read the Lisbon Treaty or familiarised themselves with EU jurisprudence and treaty requirements? Or are the re some truths just too inconvenient for the anti-Brexit narrative?”
