As Sinn Fein turbo charges the all-Ireland economy, where is the promised counter action of Donaldson deal?

Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-

“Since the return of devolution and the surrender of the economic portfolios to Sinn Fein we have seen a concerted drive by nationalism to use the levers of power to turbo charge and develop the all-Ireland economy.

“Yesterday in the Assembly we had the Sinn Fein Economy minister boast of his focus in promoting the all-Ireland economy, without a squeak from DUP MLAs. Today we have the Republic’s minister up collaborating with the Sinn Fein Finance minister on the same mission and pumping money into all-Ireland projects.

“But where is the much promised counter offensive? The Donaldson deal claimed upending of the all-island economy bandwagon. Where is the promised legislation? All I see is Sinn Fein rubbing unionist noses in the building of the all-Ireland economy anticipated and promoted by the Protocol.

“Has the EU forced the UK government to row back on its Donaldson deal commitments, both on this and on the promised constitutional legislation? Where’s your delivery, Jeffrey?”
