Statement by TUV party chairman and East Londonderry Assembly candidate Jordan Armstrong:
“While today’s North-South Ministerial Council meeting to discuss Inland Waterways may not have been attended by a DUP Minister it nonetheless could not have taken place without the First Minister agreeing to it.
“Once again the DUP’s rhetoric in relation to frustrating the NSMC while East/West relations are trashed by the Sea Border has not been matched by actions.
“Once again the DUP claim to be disrupting the North/South element of the Belfast Agreement has been exposed as a fiction.
“Such weakness sends entirely the wrong message to Unionism’s opponents at this crucial time. Why would anyone take the DUP threats about anything seriously?”
