Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-
“Only those who are anti-Unionist have any interest in promoting an All-Ireland or talking it up through participation in a process of conditioning.
“Having long eschewed Unionist values and principles, the Alliance Party has increasingly emerged in its true colours, with its voting record in Stormont and councils illustrating its anti-unionist tendencies. So, the Alliance leader now signalling participation in talks designed to dismantle the Union is confirmatory of that party’s direction of travel. This is something those who for other reasons vote Alliance need to waken up to.
“Republicans readily recognise Alliance and their voters as their best hope in advancing an All-Ireland. Mrs Long’s willingness to aid them should give any Alliance voter who values the Union cause for concern and action.”
