Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“Some unionists, most notably the DUP, like to pretend they tore up the Belfast Agreement and re-established the sanctity of Northern Ireland’s internal affairs being an exclusively UK matter.
“The scale of that deception will be on display next week, again, when the Prime Minister of a foreign country comes to Northern Ireland as an equal with our own Prime Minister to lord it over “the talks”. TUV repudiates the right of Enda Kenny to any such involvement in our internal affairs. Shame on any unionist who facilitates and accepts such interloping by the Republic of Ireland.
“There is only one Prime Minister with authority in this part of the UK and it is not Enda Kenny.
“A few weeks ago the DUP went through a traditional routine of denouncing circus acts and Dublin involvement, but since they have meekly rolled over to accept Dublin’s role and next week will crown it by endorsing Kenny’s presence.”
