Website launched to build support for Mutual Enforcement Bill

Speaking about the launch of a website calling on people to write to their MP urging support for his Mutual Enforcement Bill Jim Allister said:

“I am delighted to be able to launch a website laying out the need for my Bill as well as highlighting the broad spectrum of support it has secured.

“As well as having all of Northern Ireland’s Unionist MPs as co-sponsors, I am very pleased to have former Tory leader Rt Hon Sir Ian Duncan Smith MP, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage MP, Reform UK chair Richard Tice MP and Graham Stringer MP from Labour.

“I am delighted to have the support of former Conservative Party Minister, television personality, author and Reform spokesperson the Rt. Hon Ann Widdecombe who passionately makes the case for the Bill on the website.

“This platform has been specifically designed to empower people from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to engage with their Members of Parliament about the bill in the run up to Second Reading debate on 6 December.

“Importantly, it highlights the impact of the Protocol not just on Northern Ireland but how the EU is using it to undermine Brexit for the whole of the UK. This is an intolerable situation which cannot be allowed to continue”.
