Statement by TUV spokesperson John Brennan:
“The decision of the PSNI to swiftly apologise for the events on the Ormeau Road and the action against an officer involved has left many people asking questions. Where was the due process for this officer?
“It is a breach of the COVID regulations for more than six to be gathered in any place. This is well known and understood across Northern Ireland. Many families – including grieving families – have suffered because of this legislation.
“While recognising the suffering of those who lost loved ones in Sean Graham bookmakers massacre I also understand those who question why they made sacrifices in foregoing remembering their loved ones while others did not.
“All must be equal under the law and equally subject to the law.”
