TUV Court Cllr Jolene Bunting said:
“I am disgusted to hear that a lady in her 80s had been robbed in her home off the Shankill Road.
“This is the second time this lady has been robbed. Elderly people should be valued in society and protected yet in this case we had a lady robbed where she should feel safest – her own home.
“More must be done to ensure our elderly people are not targeted from these thugs. I would ask that people are more vigilant in the area and looked out for their neighbours. I would also appeal for anyone with information about this latest incident to come forward to the PSNI.”
