Statement by Ballyclare TUV councillor David Arthurs:
“I am deeply saddened by toady’s judgement.
“I have known the McArthur family for many years. The grace which they have displayed throughout the past year is typical of them. They will be in my thoughts and prayers at this time as they remain in the glare of the media spotlight.
“Today’s ruling opens up a can of worms which has important and wide-ranging implications for businesses across Northern Ireland. As a local councillor I am disgusted that a local employer has been dragged through the courts by the publically funded Equality Commission. I very much hope that this judgement will be appealed and overturned.”
