Statement by TUV North Antrim Westminster candidate Timothy Gaston:
“While some try to talk up the influence they like to pretend they will have in a hung Parliament they are strangely silent about what devolved government in Northern Ireland, for which they are responsible, has delivered.
“All the executive parties realise that if they ran on their record in government the public would be very uninspired.
“Stormont is a byword for failure, deadlock, squander and squabbling.
“However, it is equally true that the public recognise that TUV has been doing its best to deliver at Stormont.
“TUV has delivered Ann’s Law which was the first victory for innocent victims in years. Thanks to TUV, terrorists are now barred from £90,000 per year Special Adviser posts.
“TUV led the opposition to the Maze shrine. While others branded opponents of the scheme “nutters”, TUV ensured that the voice of innocent victims and thousands of ordinary Unionists was heard loud and clear.
“TUV secured pension parity for RUC widows who have remarried or will remarry in the future, through moving amendments to the Pensions Bill.
“And while Stormont is known for waste and squander people equally know that TUV relentlessly expose that waste and squander.
“People have a clear choice of election day. They can vote for the same old parties of failure or the can vote TUV. By voting TUV they can shake things up.”
