Statement by Cllr Stewart McDonald:
“On Saturday morning I represented TUV at the remembrance service at Massereene Barracks, which marked 6 years since the callous murders of Sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkar.
“It was a timely reminder of the sacrifice many brave people have made, and the loved ones that have been left behind. As I attended I thought of their families, friends and colleagues who knew them and loved them. I also thought of the selfless actions they took to protect the innocent pizza delivery men. That is in stark contrast to the republican terrorists who set out to kill that night.
“Northern Ireland will remember these brave men.”
