719 Babies Aborted since law changed in Northern Ireland

Statement from TUV leader Jim Allister:

“We are all rightly concerned about the suffering and death caused by the pandemic in Northern Ireland and across our nation, with every death a tragic loss for families. In spite of the heroic efforts of our nurses and doctors, hundreds have died in Northern Ireland.

“There is, however, another deadly threat to the lives of the youngest, most innocent and venerable which shamefully is not receiving anything like the same attention. I have today had it confirmed to me that since our abortion laws were changed at the end of March the Department of Health has received 719 notifications of termination.

“That is 719 lives snuffed out deliberately and consciously by human intervention. What a contrast – medical professionals strive desperately to save lives, while others abort lives!

“I am further concerned that key questions on the abortion throughput remain unanswered by the Department of Health. For example, we can have a regional breakdown in terms of deaths attributed to Covid-19. Why can my question about a breakdown of abortions by Trusts not be answered?”
