Commenting on the Audit Office report on expenditure by Stormont Departments, TUV MLA Jim Allister said:
“At a time of significant financial pressure it is quite appalling to discover over a 12 month period there has been almost £200m lost to fraud and error, with a staggering £174m in benefit fraud.
“It is also alarming as to how Stormont mishandled PPE orders with £43m of inventory unable to be used.
“Little wonder Stormont constantly needs bailed out.”
