TUV – The Real and Only Alternative in South Antrim

Antrim man Richard Cairns has entered the electoral contest for South Antrim representing Jim Allister’s Traditional Unionist Voice.  Promising more effective representation for the constituency and a commitment to work accountably for all residents, Mr. Cairns says he offers a choice for South Antrim voters not just to cast their judgment on the failures of Stormont, but to endorse a positive alternative for the future.

Richard Cairns said:

“Increasingly, people look at Stormont with despair.  Whether it is coping responsibly with a reducing budget, giving certainty and hope to parents and children in our education system, or defending traditional values in society, the other parties have delivered failure after failure.  In fact, for many it has gone beyond disappointment and entered the realm of farce.  TUV offers a radical and progressive alternative for government – placing democracy, accountability and delivery for the people of Northern Ireland at its core.  The work of building a better future for our children, a forward looking Northern Ireland contributing within a united Kingdom, and a British nation assured of its role in the world, begins with voting TUV on the 7th May.”

Commenting on the upcoming contest in South Antrim, Mr. Cairns said:

“In South Antrim the main two parties will be slugging it out, yet in other constituencies they have carved it up and will be asking their own supporters to vote for the other party. So, for the South Antrim voter, what does the difference between voting DUP or UUP mean?  It is a false choice.  If you feel let down by the decisions made in Stormont or Westminster, the only real pro-Union alternative is TUV.”

South Antrim is a key constituency for the Traditional Unionist Voice, buoyed by their growing support across the constituency in last year’s council elections.  Looking forward to his campaign, Mr. Cairns said:

“Westminster is important.  The UK is currently debating constitutional changes, and South Antrim should be fully involved in this discussion.  I look forward to hearing people’s views on the doorstep about the local issues that affect them and their communities, while offering the opportunity for our constituency to play a full role in shaping the direction of our country.

“I ask for your support in taking this first step – vote Cairns on 7th May.”
