“Who will provide the hard border that they are scaremongering about?
“The UK is clear it won’t. Republic of Ireland claims it won’t. Junker told the Dail the EU won’t. So, where will ‘the hard border’ come from? This is the question Coveney ducks in any interview where he is asked it.
“Yet, shamelessly they scaremonger endlessly about something it seems no one will create. The Republic’s scaremongering reached a new low when Varadkar invoked in aid the threat of IRA terrorism. What a disreputable position the Dublin government has adopted: hiding behind the IRA – after years of hiding the IRA in their safe haven – in their desperate anti-Brexit crusade.
“It is time Mrs May called their bluff and recognised the trap into which she fell in agreeing to a backstop before knowing if the trade deal would even have any border consequences.”
