Reacting to the news that Sinn Fein have blocked two planned open days by the Ulster Aviation Society Lagan Valley TUV spokesperson Samuel Morrison said:
“Having attended the UAS open day last year I know how enjoyable and informative their events are. The fact that the Society sought to have an additional day this year is testament to the success for last year.
“Sinn Fein/IRA’s blatant politicisation of this charity in an attempt to resurrect the Maze shrine is totally reprehensible.
“The fact that they are prepared to do so will only serve to confirm Unionists in the belief that they were correct to force the DUP into a u-turn on the issue. TUV’s greatly increased mandate in the recent elections was a reminder that the voters will punish any Unionist politician who gives in to Sinn Fein’s bully boy tactics.”
