Sinn Fein MP’s Sick Video on Anniversary of Massacre

Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:

“The posting of a video by Sinn Fein/IRA MP Barry McElduff in which he balances a loaf of Kingsmill Bread on his head in a shop and asks “I’m just wondering – where does McCullagh’s keep the bread?” is tasteless beyond belief.

“It stretches the bounds of credibility well beyond breaking point to suggest that it is anything other than deliberate that this video was posted on the same day as the 42nd anniversary of the Kingsmill Massacre in which McElduff’s fellow travellers in the Republican movement notoriously gunned down 10 innocent workmen for the crime of being Protestant.

“Among the comments left on the video by the public are: “Whole grain is what you need Barry, not 50/50!” – a comment which was “liked” by the West Tyrone MP. Let’s not forget that at Kingsmill anyone who was a Roman Catholic was told to leave before the shooting commenced.

“Even after a number of comments have appeared pointing out the anniversary McElduff has left the video up.

“Sinn Féin’s utter contempt for victims is clearly on display here. Any talk of equality or human rights from that party is once again exposed as so much cant and hypocrisy.”
